Axlo complies with Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector. This page explains what the axlo.ca website collects, why, and how to exercise your rights. The app (app.axlo.ca) is governed by the agreement signed with each client company.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information
The person in charge of the protection of personal information at Axlo is William Biron, founder and president. For any question, request for access or correction, or complaint: info@axlo.ca.
What the website collects
The axlo.ca website does not create accounts and keeps no information about its visitors, except what you choose to send us. The “See Axlo in action” form sends the information you enter (name, company, email, phone, trade) to our servers in Canada, which forward it to us by email at info@axlo.ca using Amazon’s email sending service (Amazon SES, Montréal region). We use it only to reply to you about Axlo. If sending does not work, your email software opens instead with a message ready to send.
Why we use it
Only to respond to your request, set up a demo and follow up. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for any other purpose without your consent.
Retention and security
Emails we receive are kept in our mailbox for as long as needed to follow up on your request. The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The app’s data is hosted in Canada.
Cookies
The axlo.ca website uses no cookies and no advertising tools. So there is nothing to accept or refuse. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which sends your device’s IP address to Google to display the text.
Visit statistics. To learn which pages are useful, the website counts page views and clicks on its links and buttons, using our own servers in Canada (no third-party service). To count a visitor only once per day, a fingerprint is calculated from the IP address and the browser, mixed with a key drawn at random each day and never kept: the IP address is not recorded, and it is impossible to recognize you from one day to the next or to track you on other websites. Your approximate city is also derived from the IP address, on our servers, using a public database kept on our side (DB-IP): the address is not sent to anyone. We keep only daily totals (pages, clicks, the website you came from, device type, approximate city). If your browser asks not to be tracked (“Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”), nothing is sent.
If we ever add an advertising tool or a non-essential cookie, a banner will ask for your consent before anything is stored.
The Axlo app and QuickBooks Online
In the app (app.axlo.ca), the data entered by a client company (vehicles, work orders, clients, invoices, etc.) belongs to that company. Axlo processes it only to provide the service, under the terms of use. It is hosted in Canada.
A client company can connect its QuickBooks Online account to Axlo. In that case:
- With the company’s authorization, Axlo receives access to its QuickBooks file: its list of clients, products and services, and tax codes, as well as the company name.
- Axlo uses it only to send to QuickBooks the invoices, voids and payments created in Axlo, and to create any missing clients.
- Axlo does not read other accounting data (banking, payroll, financial statements), does not sell it and does not share it with anyone.
- The access tokens provided by Intuit are encrypted and kept on our servers in Canada; they are never visible in the app.
- The company can disconnect QuickBooks at any time, in Axlo (Settings › QuickBooks Online) or in QuickBooks. Access is then revoked.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your information, its correction or its deletion, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to info@axlo.ca. You can also file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information (CAI) du Québec.
